I thought it was one of the most profound cruelties to ever inflict upon your own child. How could one stand by as their child, someone they nurtured and carried from infancy, was condemned and ridiculed for nothing beyond dreaming? At six, I was heartbroken for Despereaux and could not understand his quick forgiveness, the ease with which he uttered the words, “I forgive you, Pa.”Īt six, I was an incredibly angry child. I fought with classmates, my parents, my cousins, anybody I could provoke an argument out of, to soothe my perpetual irritation. I hadn’t even been that angry when I first immigrated to America and had to adjust to a whole new world, nor when I was ridiculed for not speaking English. I was angry at my parents for not being home more I was angry at my teachers for being too strict I was angry at my cousins for treating me like a child and, I was angry at myself for not overcoming my anger. It felt like a weakness, a slip in the little control I had over my life at that point. The anger only got worse as I entered my adolescence. The wrath that once manifested in arguments turned inwards, and I spiraled into a hole of doubt and guilt. That might be something on my end - I'm on a laptop and only have a cooling pad+USB wireless mouse plugged in, using steam, and game version is 1.3.0 if that does anything.Everyday I would find something new to blame myself for, whether it was something as inconsequential as a forgotten comma in an essay, or something bigger like not loving my family enough. Otherwise, I've found that changing countersteering %, steering sensitivity, and steering assist don't seem to alter handling characteristics at all.Ĭountersteer% - 200% (Used to have it at 100% but I found that 200% helps the fishtailing a bit more, not that I know what it actually changes) I did try the Das 119e, which handled identically to La Wedge, but without the fishtailing when I put the throttle sens back to 50% it felt to me, so I'm not entirely sure why one would use the Wedge over the 119e unless they're like me and hate themselves. Now the cars handle lovey-dovey, and I'm finally getting podiums.Īnd yes, I was using La Wedge, which the IRL Stratos along with the 037 were really easy to drive in Dirt2.0, and were my two favorite to drive cars, but I guess Dirt2.0 and AoR don't compare much, so that's on me. Ok thanks for the help guys, I figured it out that putting the throttle sensitivity to 100% almost singlehandedly solved the problem for some reason, even though I already disengaged the clutch whenever I began to fishtail anyways, and changing the throttle sensitivity didn't change handling characteristics either, other than eliminate fishtailing, so I'm not entirely sure *why* that solved it. Use throttle and brakes for steering as much as - if not more - than the left-and-right keys. If I cannot get the car's nose to point where I need it to point to before the apex, then I stay away from the throttle and wait for the turn-in to "stick". Slow-in, early power on early-apex, feathering the throttle on late apex and prolonged corners. I have since played around with those settings a bit more and arrived atĬounter ~80% (group-a), 100% (group 3 mid-engined 2wd)ĪBS 30% (because Keyboard - on some cars over loose gravel I still switch back to 20% but on asphalt some cars need less locking up the brakes, so there I NEED 30% to be quick) I have previously beaten the career on "skillful" AI and "heavy" damage with On default settings, counter-steering seems to be accelerated when compared to actual steering-input (which seems damped comparatively).
